University of Utah: Asian American High School Conference. March 5 (Zoom)

The Asian American Student Association at the University of Utah is a student-led group focusing on issues of Asian identity, service, and community engagement. The Asian American High School Conference is an annual event where we host 150-200 high school students from Salt Lake City and the surrounding areas, working with them in regards to getting to college, figuring out what to study, and learning how to engage in a community. We hope to encourage the pursuit of higher education and help students connect with students from other schools.

The event’s highlights will be

  • Keynote speaker: TBA

  • Diversity & social justice workshops

  • Major specific programs

  • Information about college, scholarships, internships, financial aid, etc.

We would like to invite Cottonwood High School to our 22nd annual conference on March 5th, 2021 from 9 am to 12 pm. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our conference will be held remotely via Zoom. This year's conference theme is "Brand Yourself". The main goals of this conference are to encourage Asian American students to make a name of themselves as well as highlight their features, skills, and talents that they have as youths in this society. Using this conference as a platform, we hope to encourage the pursuit of higher education and help students find ways to make a positive change in their communities. Our conference is free for any student to attend and we encourage students attending to log onto Zoom 15 minutes prior to the conference starting. All students need to register for High School Conference by March 3rd at 11:59 pm.
