One College Prep is a class that prepares students from refugee background for college and leads to the comprehensive One Refugee scholarship program. In the class students develop life-long habits for success, improve academic English skills, and explore career interests and aptitudes.
Changes for the 2020-21 school year include:
Dividing the class into two levels; previously we had two sections of the same class. This will allow us to better meet the needs of OCP students.
For students who will be seniors in the 2020-21 school year and are college ready, they will not need to be enrolled in the class but will meet with Jennifer Perry on some late start Mondays before school. These students have been identified and are aware of and in agreement with the plan. Several students who would fit in this category have opted to enroll in the Level 2 class next year, which we support.
