ME Time. This class is a six session Cognitive Behavioral Depression Prevention Intervention. It is for teenagers 13-17 years of age who may be experiencing mild depressive symptoms. Class #1 focuses on the Triangle of Thoughts, Feelings and Behaviors, analyzing emotions, identifying negative thoughts and having more fun. Class #2 focuses on thinking more positively, challenging negative thoughts and rewards. Class #3 focuses on another way of challenging negative thoughts & contracts. Class #4 focuses on a third way of challenging negative thoughts, negative coping mechanisms and stopping them. Class #5 focuses on daily hassles and planning future fun. Staying Connected with Your Teen. It is for caregivers of children aged 12-17. This class is taught online, but it can be taught at other locations if requested. Class #3 focuses on communication, active listening, managing anger & managing family conflict. Class #4 focuses on involvement, setting family rules/guidelines, negotiating & consequences. Class #5 focuses on teen influences, social supports, Refusal Skills and supervising without invading.
